Calipers

Calipers are special tools which are used to measure the outer and inner dimensions with high accuracy. They come outfitted with a digital display, dial, or ruled scale. Their tips can be easily moved or adjusted, so that the actual distance between two points could be seen when you remove the caliper. Such tools are often used in many different fields including metalworking, engineering, carpentry, medicine, and science. They are manufactured in accordance with very small tolerances, all in order to provide a high degree of precision during measurements.

There are several types of the aforementioned products available. They come either as SAE or metric units, featuring the tolerances as small as 0.0005" or 0.01 mm. Vernier scales are known for their accuracy, while at the same time they are not affected by magnetic fields and offer shock-proof constructions. Dial products are easier to read, and you can look at the needle movement during measurements. Digital calipers offer great convenience, and many of them can switch between the metric and SAE standards. All of these products are specifically created to help you get very accurate measurements.
